10 things you probably didn't know....

There are a lot of things that happen throughout my daily living that you don't know about me.  So, I thought I'd let you in on some of them.  Enjoy!

  1. I'm self-conscious!  VERY self-conscious.  I constantly worry what people are thinking about me and whether or not I'm disappointing someone.
  2. I'm a worrier.  There's not a day that goes by that I don't worry about something.  Lately it's been this fertility journey and how long it seems like is going to last and the details of making sure that I pass my classes so that I can graduate in May.
  3. I'm a planner.  I HAVE to know what's going to happen before I go anywhere or do anything.  When Luke and I go somewhere in the car, I make him tell me where I'm driving to and how I should get there, or I won't pull out of the driveway.
  4. I'm scared of uncertainty.  When I'm uncertain about something, I tense up.  I get panicky and anxious (and sometimes irritable).  I dislike not knowing what's going to happen (i.e. this infertility journey I'm on--I cry everyday because I don't know happy even though how it's going to turn out).
  5. I'm a pleaser.  I like to make everyone happy, but that never happens.  I try my hardest to be what everyone else wants me to be, and unfortunately sometimes I loose myself in the process.
  6. I'm a crier.  Luke knows this because he's around me all the time, but only those really close to me know this.  My dad used to say that "I cry at the drop of the hat, and I drop the hat to cry."  Sometimes I think this is true.  There are days where I feel that I just need a good cry.  Luke doesn't understand it, but hopefully someone out there can relate with me on this.  I look at it this way...when I cry I'm washing away all the hurt inside my heart.
  7. I have a fascination with things that are tin.  I once told my great-grandma that I wanted her tin can when she was done with it.  She asked me why, and I told her that I collect them.  She then asked me, "well how many tins do you have?"  I told her, "counting the one I asked you for....ONE".  Now, every time I see a tin can, I admire it as if it were my own.  I even asked my husband to buy me a tin lunch box for Valentines day just so I could have one!  :)
  8. I'm very creative, but I have a hard time following through with projects.  I recently started a Martha Stewart adventure.  Through this adventure I have started crocheting projects, postcard projects, jewelry making, and am continuously looking for something else to do.  I can only do something for so long before it no longer satisfies me.
  9. I'm afraid of failure.  I'm known for not doing school assignments if I feel that they're too hard for me or I don't understand them.  I've convinced myself that it's better to not do something than to attempt and fail.  Although I know that's not true, I would rather avoid doing something than failing at it.
  10. I trust too easily.  When I meet someone and I like them, I immediately call them my friend.  When someone becomes my friend, I also immediately trust them.  Completely.  This is where many of the issues throughout my life have occurred.  Even when people have proven to me that they can not be trusted, I still give them the benefit of the doubt and give them another chance.  Continuously.  It's almost like I want to see someone reach their full potential, so even though they have wronged me, I forgive them and give them my trust all over again.
So, now that you know ten things about me that you probably didn't know before reading this, what are some of the things that people probably wouldn't know about you?  I'd love if you would write a post in response to mine!  I can't wait to read your responses!
