Privacy

I love blogging and it's one of my favorite ways of expressing myself, but unfortunately I have made the decision to take my blog private.  I honestly believe that I should be able to express myself entirely without having to worry about someone reading it and making issues for no reason.

So, with that said, anyone know how taking the blog private thing works?  I'm trying to figure it all out.  I do know that I'll need your email addresses if you want to continue to read my blog.  You can just send it to my email: aliciapartridge@ymail.

I hope to get lots of email addresses from you all!  It sure would be nice to know that you still want to keep up with me!

I hope all of you will join me on this new journey in my life (I'll update later about that!)

-Love to you all,
Alicia Marie

  1. As you know, my blog is private. I went private in a rush because the anonymous nasty comments were more than I could stand. If I could change one thing about what I did, I would have given my readers more time to get used to the idea before I disappeared. Readers also need instructions, such as click on the link in the invitation to become a member; my blog won't be updated in your blog roll anymore so you need to remember to visit on your own; after you join you can bookmark the page to make it simpler to get here. I've tried to make it easier on my members by posting on the same days at the same time each week. Blogger has instructions on how to go private. After you do, instead of having followers, you'll have a list of members you've invited. Click on "settings" to find that list. Under the list is a place to click so you get the box that allows you to invite new members. You're correct that you need our email addresses. I found that a few addresses wouldn't work and the person had to set up a gmail or ymail account. I'm sorry, but I don't remember which ones were problems. You seem a little upset; I fear someone has been rude and intrusive. I apologize on the offender's behalf and hope that all goes well with the switch to blessed privacy. I miss my followers who didn't come with me or who forget I exist, but I like being able to say whatever I want and knowing the comments will be loving and understanding.
