Let's Upgrade...

"Let's get a bigger bed" are the most spoken words out of my mouth ever since the day we returned from our honeymoon.  You see, Luke and I share a full size bed.  Now, image two "fluffy" people sharing a bed that is really meant for one "fluffy" person.  This makes for a very uncomfortable marriage (no pun intended--okay, maybe there was).

Don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful for even having a bed to sleep on at night, but I (my body) is so tired of sleeping on my side every night just so that I know my husband has room to sleep.  I think it's time to UPGRADE!

A full size bed for two fluffy people to share while starting off a marriage is a recipe for disaster!  If I could give any soon-to-be-married couple advice it would be to make sure you have at least a queen size bed (or a spare bedroom to sleep in if you don't).

I LOVE my sleep and if my bed does not allow me to do the one thing it's meant for and let me sleep, that's a sign that we should move on to bigger and better things, right?  Well, this is what I've been trying to convince my husband to do.  I'm constantly giving him hints.  For example, today I sent him a text saying that Furniture Row had a King Size sleigh bed for only $498.  I even sent him the picture.  Yeah, I know, I'm a little obvious with my hints, but I just want to make sure he knows that I (especially my body) is REALLY wanting and needing a bigger bed.

I don't know what we'll do if we don't get a bigger bed and I end up getting pregnant.  I'll swell up like a hot air balloon and then there will REALLY be no room to sleep.  I guess since I already sleep on my side on the edge of the bed, I'd have to have some of my pregnant belly hang over the edge of the bed to ensure rest for the husband.

Anyway, this is my rambling for the day.  I'm in desperate need of a bigger bed.  If not for my body then for my sanity.

This is the sleigh bed I sent to my husband in a text!  :)

  1. I HIGHLY suggest you make the upgrade!! Don't skimp on the quality either (for the mattress), considering we spend 1/3 of our life in bed which in turn refuels you for the other 2/3 of your life:) Did that make sense? We just have a frame and mattress- no headboard and I really like it.

  2. My hubby and I sleep on a full size right now as well. I'd like to upgrade soon because I am pregnant and soon we will have a little one wanting to crawl into bed with us! :)
